What to Look for in a Winner - Satins


Satin mice can be shown in any standardised colour and marking. The satinisation of the coat shows up better on lighter colours, so winning satins are often the large pale selfs. Satin is a recessive gene and can be introduced into any variety without too much difficulty. Examples of satins can be seen below.
